Kids will experience new play and learning adventures each week at the Hands On Children’s Museum’s Summer Splash! Festival of Fun. Do you love slow-cooked traditional barbeque? The South Sound BBQ Festival at Huntamer park in Lacey is the place to be Saturday, July 13 11am-6pm, with a beer garden noon-8pm. The Lacey South Sound Chamber and community partners put on this mouth-watering festival that includes BBQ booths, of course, plus live entertainment, free kids activities, vendors, and a chicken-wing eating contest, and the adults-only beer & wine garden.

Lacey in Tune brings free entertainment to Huntamer Park Tuesdays with the Children’s Entertainment Series at 6:30pm July 9-August 13, Lacey in Tune Wednesdays at noon July 10-August 14, and Fridays with concerts at 7pm and movies at dusk July 19-August 9. Downtown Olympia is the place to be Wednesday evenings in July for Olympia Downtown Alliance’s free LoveOly Music in the Park concert series! Head downtown early and savor the vibrant offerings of downtown Oly. Northwest favorites the Righteous Mothers kick off the season July 10, followed by Irish rock band Slainte July 17, and singer-songwriter Brittany Danielle July 24, all 7pm at Sylvester Park. The series will conclude with Creedence Revelation July 31 at 7pm at Port Plaza.
